Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am a California State Lifeguard and avid surfer who loves all things ocean and water related.

Where are you from?

I am currently split half and half between San Diego and Hermosa Beach, but as of May I will be full time in Hermosa

What camp(s) did you visit?

La Barra Surf Camp

Why did you decide to come to La Barra?

My girlfriend Morgan has been coming here for years and it has turned into a yearly surf trip for us and a group of friends

What’s your surfing level?

I'm pretty decent on a shortboard, but I compete professionally as a longboarder

What were your expectations before coming here?

We had anticipated a larger off season swell to hit during the week that we were there, and it definitely delivered!

Did you have any concerns before coming?

Nope

What was your favorite experience/activity here?

Definitely my favorite experience was surfing Chicken Bowls when there was good swell. Some of the best backside barrels of my life!

What was your favorite memory here?

My favorite memories of here are of connecting with the local community around the camp, from donating to local churches and schools to hanging out with locals at Bar Ocho.

What advice do you have for future guests?

Watch out for the reef at low tide! Other than that, relax and enjoy the trip!
