Overview
Adventure Sports Tours has created a great option for the more adventurous Surfers, The Multi Country Surf Trip, El Salvador and Nicaragua. The Multicounty Surf Trip is an experience for life, this adventure includes surf the World Class waves of El Salvador and The uncrowned waves of the Central region of Nicaragua.
Surfing seasons: both El Salvador and Nicaragua encompasses the same surfing season that goes from March through October.
In Central America region, weather is divided into two seasons, Dry season and Wet season. The Dry season (Nov- Apr) and The Wet season (May-Oct).
Surfing
El Salvador and Nicaragua, both countries are renowned world surf destinations, Surfing El Salvador and Surfing Nicaragua offers great Surf during the same surfing season, taking advantage of the proximity to each other and the knowledge our staff has of the waves in both countries, AST has created the Multi Country Surf Packages, this is a special option for the more adventurous surfers looking for a real Surf Adventure in the best Surfing destinations in Central America.
In the Multi Country Surf Trip, surfers can enjoy the World Class right hand point breaks that El Salvador has to offer, and the uncrowded beachbreaks, cobblestones, reefs, and pointbreaks of the Central region of Nicaragua in Puerto Sandino area.
Surf Destinations:
In El Salvador we offer surf Tours in the both Main Surfing regions of the country, La Libertad and Las Flores. Surfing La Libertad, offers several perfect right hand poinbreaks including the world class wave of Punta Roca Surfing Las Flores as a top notch destination with very consistent waves such as Las Flores and Punta Mango. In Nicaragua we offer Surf Tours in the North Central Pacific coast of Nicaragua in Puerto Sandino area, Surfing Nicaragua includes surf the longest left in the country, Puerto Sandino and many uncrowded waves.

La Libertad, El Salvador:
Conveniently located in Puerto La Libertad, the AST Surf Hotel offers breathe taking views of La Punta or otherwise known as Punta Roca and La Paz the inside section of Punta Roca. Our hotel sits on the inside of the point offering 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, and if you visit Surfline.com you will find our surf cam on the Punta Roca page of Central America Camera’s.
Our La Libertad Hotel offers accommodations for 20 guests with a roof top Bar and Grill that is unmatched in the entire area of Puerto La Libertad. AST offers private and shared accommodations along with our new dorm room with the biggest most comfortable bunk bed you will ever sleep in. Las Flores, El Salvador:
Adventure Surf Travel’s “Las Flores Palms Surf Club”sits on the point in Las Flores, El Salvador. We are the only property on the point with nearly 300 degree views of the ocean. Our property exceeds 9 acres and offers our guests Ocean, Mountain and Jungle views from nearly every viewing point on the property. Las Flores a small community of locals, surf camps and high end vacation homes are just 3 minutes from the small town of El Cuco in the San Miguel providence.
Playa Las Flores defines the words “Beautiful Beach” surrounded by overgrown palm and mango trees lining the shore with its amazing dark sand, with the mirrored finish at low tides. Puerto Sandino, Nicaragua:
Adventure Surf Travels “Puerto Sandino Surf Camp” is located in Playa Miramar just a short 2 hour drive from Managua Airport. This region of Central Nicaragua is straight west of the capital of Managua and is one of the richest areas for surf in the country. Playa Miramar is a sleepy Nicaraguan fishing village with amazingly friendly locals that are always curious to meet our guests and, if you speak Spanish they will be very happy engage you in a friendly conversation.
Less than 40 minutes away from our “Puerto Sandino Surf Camp” is the old city of Leon, Nicaragua. Here you can enjoy city trips, shopping, and sightseeing, as well as visiting the historical landmark Churches from the mid 1600’s. On another note you can enjoy a great Nicaraguan or American style dinner at some of the best restaurants Nicaragua has to offer. The Trip
Trip Description:
• Tour can starts either El Salvador or Nicaragua. When booking your flight ticket remember to book for arriving either El Salvador or Nicaragua then to fly out from the opposite country of landing.
• If the tour starts in El Salvador, first stop will be AST Hotel in La Libertad, then Las Flores and the last stop in La Barra Surf Club in Nicaragua
• If the tour starts in Nicaragua, first stop will be La Barra Surf Club, then Las Flores Palms Resort and the last stop in AST Hotel in La Libertad
• Distances:
- From the El Salvador airport To La Libertad 30 mins by car
- From La Libertad to Las Flores 2.5 hours by car
- From Las Flores to La Barra Surf Club 6 hours by car
- From La Barra Surf Club to the airport in Managua 1.5 hours by car*If guest choose to fly El Salvador – Nicaragua, distance is 1 hour fly**

When Driving El Salvador – Nicaragua
• Bring 3 copies of passport for Honduras and Nicaragua borders
• Honduras entry fee $5.00
• Nicaragua entry fee $7.00

• Passport valid 6 months beyond intended stay in El Salvador
• Tourist card $10 upon arrival
• Departure tax $32 at airport upon leaving the country

Travel information, Nicaragua
• Passport valid 6 months beyond intended stay in Nicaragua.
• Tourist card US$5.00 when arriving to Nicaragua, valid for 90 days in Nicaragua.
• Ticket for return or onward travel.
• A valid entry stamp is required to exit Nicaragua.
• Airport Departure fees US$32.00 when leaving Nicaragua
Extended Stays Visitors remaining more than 90 days must obtain an extension from Nicaraguan Immigration, or leave the country for 72 hours, then re-enter paying for a new tourist card. Failure to do so prevent departure until a fine is paid.
